From the Cave (2021)

From the Cave is an online performance and installation that explores the ways in which isolation and technology have shaped our psyche over the course of the pandemic and considers how we may go about returning to the world.

For two weeks I painted a house’s entry room as if it were a cave. Painting only at night and using my digital devices as my light source, I painted a reality filtered by technology. While a physical installation, From the Cave lives entirely online. The process of painting the cave was live-streamed, documented, and published online in September 2021.
